India is a very religious and spiritual country. One way to demonstrate your love for God according to Hindu Vedas and Puranas there is by praying and engaging in particular rituals. The Satyanarayana Pooja, which is one of the most regularly done pooja’s among Hindus, can be performed with a Satyanarayana Rare Bronze Sculpture and some fruits and other worship tools on any regular day and is mentioned in “Skanda Purana”. To organize it, there is no need to wait for a festival to organize it. However, the Purnima tithi (Full Moon day) and Ekadashi tithi (the eleventh day of the lunar fortnight according to the Hindu lunisolar calendar) are seen to be the best days for performing pooja for Lord Satyanarayan.
Magnificent Satyanarayan Pooja:
The Satyanarayana Pooja is one of the poojas that Hindus perform the most frequently.
It is Lord Vishnu Satyanarayana’s adoration of the eternal truth’s embodiment. Since the beginning of time, devotees have performed this pooja. This pooja is performed by devotees with tremendous fervor for several reasons. The Satyanarayan pooja can be performed immediately, as was already explained. It can be done whenever someone wants to. But the major objectives of the pooja are to invite as many people as you can, recite the associated Katha, and present the Lord prasad (food offered as naiveidhya).
It is believed that by adhering to a vrat and performing the pooja with fervor, one can overcome any challenges. Thus, by doing this, the devotee might request the Lord to grant them his or her compassionate favor. Therefore, by imparting the pooja’s blessings to guests, he or she would not only bring good fortune into their life but also make them joyful.
No matter their gender, age, caste, or place of employment, everyone is welcome to perform the pooja there. It can also be done ahead of a wedding or any holy ceremony. This can be done even before beginning a new project or venture. Therefore, the Lord places greater importance on bhakti (devotion) than on a devotee’s height.
This particular pooja is intended to remove all social barriers and bring everyone together to recite the name of God, who stands for eternal truth.
Vidhi (process) Of Performing Satyanarayana Pooja:
Make sure you are mentally resolved to perform the Satyanarayan Pooja at home the following day the day before. From among the many Satyanarayan Vrat dates, pick one. The following morning, the first thing you do when you wake up takes a bath while mentally chanting the name of Lord Satyanarayan. Take an oil bath if you can.
If you don’t have Gangajal, pour clean water into a fresh Kalash or pot and set it in your shrine. If at all possible and assuming no medical issues exist that would prevent you from fasting, cover it up and then make sure you observe a full day of fasting.
The Satyanarayan pooja can be performed at home by anyone, including the husband and wife, you alone, your parents, or your siblings. There is no written rule stating that this Pooja can only be performed by a married couple. On this holy occasion, invite your friends, your family, and your neighbors. Prepare all of your supplies for the sacred hour when you can do the Satyanarayan Pooja at home.
Worship Tools Or Samagri (सामग्री):
Satyanarayana Rare Bronze Sculpture or Vishnu Satyanarayana Silver Panel or a photo of Lord Satyanarayana. In addition to banana leaves and fruits, other items used in their worship of God include Panchamrit, Panchagavya, betel nuts, betel leaves, sesame, mouli ( a red and yellow colored sacred thread in Hinduism), kumkum, and durva. Panchamrit, which is particularly beloved by God, is made for the worship of Satyanarayana by combining milk, honey, bananas, Gangajal, Tulsi leaves, and dry fruits. After roasting the flour together with the confections and adding sugar, a prasad known as Sattu (Panjiri) is created, which is also favored.
Satyanarayana Katha:
The Skanda Purana is where the pooja first appeared. Maharshi Sutha Puranik tells the tale to a group of other rishis who have been doing yajna for the welfare of humanity for a thousand years.
The rishis questioned Maharshi Sutha on how someone with morally upright and life-affirming desires could have satisfied his cravings.
Maharshi Sutha went on to explain that Devrishi Narada, another revered rishi and the founder’s son, had posed the same query.
Devrishi Narada occurs in Vedic mythology as an agitator who has the power to start anything.
In this tale, Narada is shown as having traveled the entire cosmos before reaching Earth, or Bhuloka(भूलोक).
He learned that many individuals on earth were experiencing difficulties as a result of past lives due to the way they handled their karma. He went to Lord Vishnu and asked what could be done to help those in need because of his growing compassion for them.
Lord Vishnu is greatly beloved by Devrishi Narada. Then Devrishi Narda approached Lord Vishnu and asked for guidance. Then Lord Vishnu revealed that anyone might undertake a ritual known as the Satyanarayan pooja to put an end to their anguish in life. He continued by saying that anyone can perform this pooja at any moment without a priest or the need to wait for a suitable time. The Satyanarayan Katha also has other stories that transform this ritual into a celebration.
